Razões deste documentário

Ao produzir este documentário tive como principal objectivo homenagear a Banda Torroselense Estrela D´Alva pela comemoração do seu centenário. Digamos que é o meu contributo público a esta colectividade. Por outro lado a minha ligação familiar a Torroselo tanto da parte do meu pai como da minha mãe também contribuiu para a realização do filme, uma vez que me interesso pela sua divulgação e pelo seu crescimento não só ao nível das politicas sociais e locais, como também do ponto de vista cultural. Em 2004 produzi um documentário intitulado "Historial de Torroselo" o qual teve a duração de cerca de 40 minutos e onde retratei todas as Instituições existentes, pessoas e factos que foram determinantes para o desenvolvimento da localidade, retratei alguns aspectos populares predominantes como o são anualmente a Festa das Pápas e a Festa de S. Bento (padroeiro da terra). Junto dos emigrantes espalhados pelos 4 cantos do mundo (grande comunidade no Brasil e nos EUA) o filme fez as delicias de quem o viu. As mensagens de pessoas com ligação a esta terra mas que por força da vida cá não vêm há largos anos foram o sinal vivo e evidente que a sétima arte é de facto um veiculo até de aproximação das pessoas às suas origens. "Centenário da Banda de Torroselo" pretende ser isso. Pretende ser uma homenagem a todos aqueles que ao longo destes 100 anos ajudaram a Banda a crescer e por ela conseguiram apesar das dificuldades, fazer com ela ainda hoje esteja viva. A questão que se coloca é: ATÉ QUANDO esta Filarmónica vai existir? Esta questão deve colocar-se neste momento pois enquanto noutros tempos os executantes e dirigentes da Filarmónica alinhavam no grupo até como forma de combater a fome que passavam durante a semana, inclusivamente percorrendo as estradas da Serra da Estrela a pé para irem actuar, actualmente as dificuldades em motivar a juventude para estas colectividades são cada vez maiores pois a diversidade de ofertas (discotecas, shopings, vida fácil, etc...) desviam esta gente das Bandas o que coloca em causa a própria continuidade e existência das mesmas. Por estas razões apelo a todos os meus amigos e amigas que no próximo dia 20 de Outubro venham até ao Centro de Interpretação da Serra da Estrela (CISE) pelas 10h da manhã altura em que o documentário vai ser exibido aos júris. Qualquer pessoa pode vir assistir aos filmes do Cine´Eco sem necessitar de convite.

Reasons of this set of documents

When producing this set of documents I had as main objectiv to homage the Torroselense Band D´Alva Star for the commemoration of its centenarian. Let us say that contribut to this colectivity is public mine. On the other hand my familiar linking the Torroselo in such a way of the part of my father as of my mother also contributed for the accomplishment of the film, a time that I am not only interested myself for its spreading and its growth the level of the social and local politics, as well as of the cultural point of view. In 2004 I produced a set of documents intitled " Historial de Torroselo" which had duration of about 40 minutes and where I portraied all the existing Institutions, people and facts that had been determinative for the development of the locality, I portraied some predominant aspects popular as they are annually the Party of the Popes and the Party of Blessed S.
